Toshiro Higashimura - 17 years old, mixed Chinese and Japanese, a high school sophomore who transferred to Shanghai. His father is Japanese and his mother is Chinese. He grew up in Japan when he was a child. After his parents divorced, he returned to China with his mother. On the surface, he looks unruly, but in his heart, he longs to be accepted. On the first day he transferred to another school, he was called to the office because of a fight and met his class teacher, Tong Jiaru.
Tong Jiaru - 25 years old, a high school Chinese teacher, gentle and reserved, from an ordinary family, working alone in Shanghai. He seems gentle and easy to talk to, but in fact he is stubborn in his bones. I had a relationship that ended in vain when I was in college. After that, I devoted all my energy to work and used a sense of distance to protect myself.
The two went from a teacher-student relationship to becoming a "family" without blood ties, to an emotional entanglement that spanned identities and ages. Toshiro Higashimura pursues him passionately and straightforwardly, while Tong Jiaru struggles between his moral bottom line and his true emotions. Finally broke down the defenses and came together.

It's beautiful and beautiful, and it's so delicately written.
