The Wind and Cloud Tavern

During the Tianqi era, the eunuch Wei Zhongxian held the government in his grip, wielding power unchecked, persecuting loyal officials, and terrifying the entire court. For years, he had sought the Seven Supreme Needles of Sacred Sun. With them, he believed he would have a house full of descendants and become the ruler of all under heaven. Using an “assassination attempt on the emperor” as an excuse, he attacked the Divine Physician Villa, but Hua An, adopted son of the renowned physician Hua Shaofeng, managed to escape. Wei Zhongxian ordered his Four Great Guardians, Hunting Tiger, Phantom, Blood Remnant, and Famous Sword, along with the Four Commanders of the Embroidered Uniform Guard, Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise, to establish the “Heaven and Earth Alliance,” unleashing bloodshed throughout the martial world. To fight the Alliance, the Wind and Cloud Tavern secretly grew its strength and formed a covert alliance with the three great sects of Shaolin, Wudang, and the Beggars’ Guild to uphold justice in the martial world. Meanwhile, to curry favor with Wei Zhongxian, Azure Dragon sent “Shocking Snow,” the Eastern Depot’s top assassin, to kill Hua An. After secretly becoming a disciple of Master Kongji of Shaolin, Hua An devoted years to mastering martial arts. Even so, Shocking Snow found him. As they clashed in a deadly game of assassination and counterassassination, the two gradually fell for each other. Shocking Snow abandoned the mission and secretly began protecting Hua An. With Shocking Snow’s help, the truth about what happened ten years ago came to light, and Hua An set out on the path of revenge.
