The story takes place in the wasteland world two hundred years after the "Great Collapse". The protagonist Chen Mo is an ordinary scavenger in the Rusty Iron City. Because of a mysterious badge, he entered the legendary black tower and became an "observer". He gradually discovered that the Black Tower was one of the twelve towers that sealed the "Lord of Chaos", and the seal was collapsing.
During the process of cultivation, the seal of the West collapsed and the creations of chaos poured out. Chen Mo entered the underground ruins and found that the cracks could not be closed (the Lord of Chaos would be awakened), so he could only choose to use his own mental power to strengthen the seal. He merged with the seal and his consciousness dissipated, but he retained a trace of residual consciousness.
Lao Wang and Ahu became new observer candidates, received training, and tried to rescue Chen Mo. The story ends with "To Be Continued", leaving plenty of room for subsequent creation - including plot lines such as rescuing Chen Mo, exploring other ruins, and fighting against the Lord of Chaos.
