Dream of the Red Chamber: A Little Ancestor Arrives at the Jia Mansion

[Lighthearted daily life + adorable child farming + Dream of the Red Chamber ensemble + devoted big brother] Behind the Rongguo Mansion's glittering facade lurk suffocating dogma and schemes. When three-year-old Lin Yan steps through the Jia family's gates, holding his sister Daiyu's hand, this dreary feudal cage meets its destined nemesis. Doesn't know the rules? Sorry, a three-year-old makes the rules! Forbidden to farm and do business? Sorry, the Old Madam loves the strawberries I grow! With childish candor, he tears apart hypocritical moral conventions, and with hearty appetites and cuteness, he saves the young ladies from their doomed fates. Along the way, he turns Baoyu, the so-called “phoenix egg,” into an overlooked nobody. “Second Aunt says the Lin family's little boy came here to mooch off us?” Wang Xifeng sneers and points to the mountain of huge redwood chests piled in the courtyard. “Those are pocket money Lord Lin Ruhai sent Yan-ge. They're worth more than everything in our communal treasury put together! Baoyu? He's crying in the courtyard right now because Yan-ge wouldn't take him along to barbecue!”
