Then one day, while in a private room, Chen Fan overheard Jin Yuchen talking with a group of powerful people. He had arrived uninvited and was listening from the sidelines.

“Jin, you’re not seriously into that bumpkin, are you? I think he’s really getting clingy. He’s like a dog, following you everywhere.”

Jin Yuchen replied coldly, “I’m just having fun. I’ll dump him when I get bored.”

Hearing this, Chen Fan’s heart shattered. He fled in a panic.

He knew it. No one could ever like him, and no one would ever truly care about him.

But instead of waiting for Jin Yuchen to dump him, he’d rather be the one to end it first.

At least that way, he could keep some dignity.

Chen Fan: “Jin, I think we should break up.”
