Skybound War Falcon: Project Soaring Heights

Chu Yun, the youngest elite test pilot in the entire military, was grounded against his will after an in-flight engine shutdown aboard a Weiling fighter jet. His teammates mocked him, and his superiors passed the blame. Stranger still, on the night of the accident, he alone saw the dark blue-green light inside the engine compartment.

An encrypted letter with no sender and a black card engraved with coordinates led him south to Yunqiu, a sealed archaeological site in Ling County. There, he discovered a colossal bronze tree that had no business existing on Earth. Its cold blue light pulsed across ancient star maps carved into its surface, like some kind of dormant "beacon."

"You've seen that light. Your genes have been activated. You are the only 'key.'"

Lin Yuyan, a mysterious female scientist, revealed the truth: thirty years ago, an alien civilization known as the "Origin Seekers" left a beacon on Earth. Now it was summoning the "Night Watchers" from across the universe. In three days, the Night Watchers would arrive, and human civilization would be completely erased.

Humanity's only hope was to pilot the "Jiuxiao," an aerospace fighter beyond the limits of human technology, into the heart of the beacon and shut it down. The price? The odds of a successful neural link were less than forty percent. Failure meant brain death. And deep within the beacon, Chu Yun's mother, who had been "missing" for twenty years, lay dormant. She had already been corrupted by the beacon, no longer truly human or a ghost.

The countdown had begun. Chu Yun gripped the controls as a neural interface, rebuilt from the wreckage of a Nazi flying saucer, was connected to the back of his neck. Was a 37.2 percent chance of survival enough?

It had to be. The bronze tree was beginning to "bloom," and the moment its flower opened would be the end of the world.
