Tsundere, invincible, cold-faced wolf-dog gong × sunny, lovesick puppy shou with a surprising side
The King of the Underworld, Ye Yuci, never bothered with the wandering ghosts of the human realm. By a twist of fate, however, he entered into a ghost marriage with Song Xuyan, a wandering ghost who had no idea he was dead. To dissolve the marriage, Ye Yuci has no choice but to help him gather his scattered soul. Song Xuyan died an unjust death, and when they finally find his name in the Book of Life and Death, they discover the idiot took his own life.
The Underworld has a rule: anyone who dies with an obsession becomes a knot. The deeper the obsession, the larger the knot, and some can even devour souls. The larger the knot, the harder it is to untie. These knots are called “Bells.” The souls within turn into vengeful ghosts and wreak havoc, and every knot is recorded in the Bell-Unbinding Register, classified as A, B, or C and assigned to different ghost officials for unbinding.
Song Xuyan has dreamed of becoming a great hero all his life. When he came of age, he gained a pair of bull’s eyes that let him see what ordinary people could not. While pursuing his dream, he ended up marrying a ghost named Ye Yuci. In the role of husband, Ye Yuci keeps pushing Song Xuyan to do things so he can meet his KPIs. In Song Xuyan’s eyes, Ye Yuci is nothing but a low-ranking ghost official in the Underworld. He flatters him to his face but secretly looks down on him. Yet as they work together, he develops unexpected feelings for him. What began as “meet the KPIs, then get divorced” becomes “together in life and death, never to part!”
