The Buddha, the Demon, and the Immortal

[Xuanhuan xianxia] [the Myriad Worlds]

The Primordial Era, thirty-nine thousand years in.

At the peak of the Three Realms, in the heart of the Sea of Chaos.

Boundless Buddha light came from the west, illuminating three thousand great worlds. Every ray of golden light carried the karmic cycle of reincarnation, saving all living beings from suffering. Surging demonic flames rose from the Nine Netherworlds, burning away the laws of the eight directions and six realms. Every strand of black fire held the source of slaughter, shattering the shackles of heaven and earth. Vast immortal light blazed from the center, governing the order of the myriad Daos across the heavens. Every wisp of clear radiance condensed the principles of the Heavenly Dao, commanding the birth and death of all things.

The Lord of the Buddha Kingdom, the Boundless World-Honored One; the Supreme of the Demon Realm, the Demon Ancestor of Myriad Calamities; and the Emperor of the Primordial Beginning, at the summit of the Immortal Court. Recognized throughout the Three Realms as the ultimate embodiments of their respective paths, they now stood on the brink of the Sea of Chaos's collapse. There was no hatred for their ancient enemies in their six eyes, only a resolve to perish together.
