Core premise: Chen Fan, a small-time antiques dealer on the antique street, was once a second-generation heir from a fallen family, dismissed as a “good-for-nothing” and treated with contempt. By chance, he awakens the “Myriad Visions Heavenly Eye,” which lets him see the streams of fortune surrounding antiques. From then on, he finds a priceless imperial-green jade in Panjiayuan and beats other bidders to national treasures at auction houses. But he gradually discovers that the antiques hold more than money: they also contain the “spiritual qi” left behind by ancient cultivators.
Protagonist: Chen Fan. On the surface, he is an irreverent, sharp-tongued yet soft-hearted streetwise businessman; in truth, he is a careful strategist who plans every move. He lives by the motto, “Money can solve anything, but you absolutely can’t do without it.”
Power system: He nourishes his body with antiques and builds his foundation with spiritual qi. Every national-treasure-grade artifact is a “spirit stone.” By touching antiques and absorbing the historical essence within them, or spiritual qi, he strengthens his body until he ultimately attains sainthood through physical cultivation.
