Tathagata destroyed Wukong with one palm, the great sage fell, and the seven souls scattered across the three realms.
One ray was reincarnated as Ling Xuan, a young man in the mortal world, and his memory was sealed; the other six rays turned into six obsessive demons - anger, ignorance, pride, fierceness, righteousness, and madness.
Ling Xuan was found by Wukong's old team and learned that he was the reincarnation of Wukong's remnant soul. To conquer the six demons is to find yourself.
He embarked on the road of searching for monsters: fighting the angry monster, enlightening the crazy monster, crossing the proud monster, subduing the fierce monster, collecting the righteous monster, and suppressing the mad monster. Every monster is an obsession of Wukong; every salvation is a part of him regaining himself.
Sha Seng joins, Bajie returns to his position, Bull Demon King switches sides, Yang Jian and Nezha defect to each other one after another. The rise of the Ten Thousand Demons Alliance shook the three realms.
Tathagata sent six-eared puppets to chase him. Liu Er was once a little demon who worshiped Wukong, but was turned into a fake Wukong by Tathagata, and he struggled with pain in his heart. Finally awakened and died to atone for his sins.
In the final battle, Sha Monk died after being cut off, and the Bull Demon King died in the fierce battle. Ling Xuan's seven souls merged into one and became the complete Sun Wukong, defeating Tathagata.
The end of Buddhist rule. Ling Xuan established the Three Realms Council, where the three races co-governed and appointed themselves as supervisors, without claiming to be emperor or hegemony.
He and Lin Wanqing guarded the Three Realms side by side for thousands of years.
Standing on the top of the Huaguo Mountain, looking at the stone statue of Wukong, he said: "This is the right path."
The stone statue is sleeping and seems to be smiling.
Under the setting sun, the two figures gradually moved away.
