A Bloody Case Sparked by 573 Yuan

In Wangjia'ao, deep in the Qinling Mountains, a dilapidated courtyard conceals crimes so horrific they shock the entire nation. After a lifetime of humiliation, the lame Zhou Laogen develops twisted, evil urges. Using a hot meal and a job as bait, he lures 48 innocent people into a trap, brutally kills them with blunt instruments, and buries them in the courtyard and beneath the cabbages. He even abuses and eats the corpses. His cold-bloodedness is beyond appalling. The case is shrouded in mystery. The remote mountains conceal the crimes for years, while the villagers' indifference allows the devil to roam free. The stench from the deserted courtyard, muffled sounds in the night, and the unexplained disappearance of outsiders all make for a chilling horror. Only when the police step in and dig deeper is the sea of corpses beneath the yellow earth revealed: 48 decaying bodies and a bizarre burial site, every scene a blow to the senses. From a mentally disabled child to a starving refugee, from a homeless old woman to migrant workers, no one escapes the devil's clutches. This massacre, sparked by a selfish desire for 573 yuan, lays bare the darkest depths of human greed and indifference. From the absurd excuses in court to the final moments at the execution ground, the story is gripping and intense throughout. It is both suffocatingly terrifying and a testament to justice prevailing under the law, telling the weighty truth of how, in the cold wasteland deep in the mountains, the wronged spirits finally found peace.
