The Little Crybaby from the Cold Palace Has Changed Her Ways

[Two souls in one body + healing and nurturing + adored by everyone + sweet romance with no angst]

Shen Yao, a modern preschool teacher, gets into an accident while protecting a child. When she opens her eyes again, she finds herself trapped inside the body of a three-year-old princess!

The little princess, Xiao Yue, lost her mother at a young age and is confined to the Cold Palace, the most overlooked person in the imperial household. As she lies near death with a high fever, Shen Yao forms a secret pact with her as the “Fairy Sister”: “I'll teach you to talk, to smile, and to make everyone like you.”

From timidly reaching out for a piece of candy to settling disputes among palace servants with her soft, childish voice; from a forgotten corner of the Cold Palace to stepping into the imperial study and becoming the emperor's “little ray of sunshine,” Xiao Yue clumsily but sincerely transforms modern lessons in emotional intelligence into the rarest kind of warmth in the ancient palace, guided by Shen Yao.

When the aloof emperor sets aside his memorials to coax her to sleep, when her warm embrace heals the melancholy crown prince's troubled heart, and when the entire palace gradually changes because of this affectionate little darling, Shen Yao discovers that her soul is connected to Xiao Yue's life force.

“Fairy Sister, please don't go, okay?” The little one clutches Shen Yao's clothes, her eyes brimming with tears.

Later, everyone in the palace knows that the once-lonely little princess has changed. She has become the warm bond mending the royal family's broken relationships and the precious darling everyone holds dear. And Shen Yao, a guardian soul from the future, has finally found another way to fulfill the promise of protection she could not keep in her previous life.

This is a story about learning to love and be loved: two lonely souls comfort each other within the cold palace walls, until flowers bloom throughout the entire imperial palace.
