An In-Depth Analysis of The Story of a Noble Family

Jin Yanxi is the seventh son of Jin Quan, prime minister in the Beiyang warlord government. Bai Xiuzhu, the daughter of a distinguished family, is devoted to Yanxi. On one hand, he cannot stand her spoiled young-lady temperament; on the other, he knows the Jin and Bai families are locked in fierce political rivalry, so he treats her with indifference. Then he happens to meet Leng Qingqiu, a female student from a poor family, and falls in love with her at first sight, launching an ardent pursuit. The new ideas of free love clash with feudal traditions, but after overcoming every obstacle, Yanxi still marries Qingqiu. Bai Xiuzhu cannot accept the outcome, and a tangled love triangle begins.
