Stop Competing! I Support My Family by Trading Tang Poems for Points

Shen Xingci, a modern-day 996 wage slave, dies suddenly and transmigrates as a poor scholar in Qingxi Town, Great Jing, on the verge of starving to death. In his darkest hour, he binds himself to a Tang Poetry Points Exchange System. He earns points through daily sign-ins and by taking part in poetry contests, then exchanges them for famous Tang poems in three grades: elementary, intermediate, and advanced. He starts by exchanging elementary poems for a few silver coins to get by, gradually earns enough to settle down with intermediate poems, and then sells advanced poems for a fortune, becoming a local tycoon. He takes things easy and keeps a low profile, never joining the rat race, while his inner monologue is full of the modern wage slave’s snarky complaints. He’s surrounded by lively neighbors and classmates who bring plenty of everyday laughs. As he steadily builds his fortune through poetry contests, he eventually partners with a stationery shopkeeper to open a literary goods shop and marries Su Wan, a gentle physician. Thanks to Tang poetry, he enjoys a comfortable, prosperous life and leaves his impoverished background behind for good.
