A Summer for You, a Summer with You

‖Slow-to-warm, reserved top student x bubbly, straightforward transfer student‖

At the start of their second year of high school, the new transfer student broke into Yu Mingyi’s unchanging daily routine as a cool, aloof top student.

The girl swept into his world carrying the sultry heat of midsummer. He clearly remembered her cheerfully handing him a lunchbox, and he still remembered the faint sweetness of the corn.

A noisy classroom. Stacks of papers. The lights of evening study sessions. Countless little moments from school life, woven together.

Our first meeting was in the height of summer. From then on, I would give you the whole summer.

(I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry. This is my first time writing a novel, and the pacing is very, very slow, not much happens, and I haven’t done a very good job of developing the characters. The romance between the leads feels really clunky too. I know what I’ve written is a pile of crap, but does this pile of crap really not deserve a place on your bookshelf? 😭)
