Demon Slayer: The Contradictory Demon King Is Still Trying to Be Human

On the night his family was slaughtered, he was forced to become a demon. But just as he was on the verge of breaking down, a strange System activated. [Beginner Mission: Fill out an employment application. Position: Registered Demon World Employee (Temporary)] With a hand that was melting, Lian crookedly scrawled on the glowing form: Job preference: a demon who doesn’t want to eat people. “Demons have to eat, too, even if I don’t eat human food.” Facing the blade of Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira, he held up his resume with an earnest expression. “Demons need to find jobs, too?” Giyu was silent for a long time before slowly asking. And so, the strangest demon in history was born. He used PowerPoint at the Hashira Meeting, poached Upper Ranks with “five social insurances and one housing fund,” and brought human and demon employees together with “team-building events.” He tore Muzan’s exploitative company to shreds and founded Dawn Corporation, dedicated to creating a harmonious workplace for humans and demons. The Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps soon realized they had gained an assistant who never seemed to do his actual job. “Giyu, here’s some energizing tea. Don’t fall asleep!” “Sanemi, here’s some medicine to cool you down. Don’t blow your top!” “Mitsu, here’s a high-protein lunchbox. Eat up, then go fight!” The Hashira: “Are you here to fight a war or have a picnic?” This is the story of a Demon King who neglects his proper duties and blazes a comedic career path through blood and fire, changing everyone’s lives along the way. When he finally framed his “employment application” and hung it on the wall, a small line appeared beside it: “Although I’m a demon, I’m trying hard to act human, and I’m doing a pretty good job.” [Demon King upbringing + lighthearted comedy + action-packed; mostly everyday life, with a few tearjerkers]
