We are born with a debt to the past.
Memory is a contract engraved in the bones and blood. It will never be broken until the soul is gone.
I heard that there is a place on the coast of the East China Sea called Mirage. That's not a building, it's an organization that weaves dreams for a living. They don't cultivate, they don't ask questions, they just make a deal - use a part of your body in exchange for your beloved to see your past.
Sounds ridiculous, right?
But people in the world just flock to it.
The owner of the mirage is a woman who has never been seen before, and the world calls her "The Weaver". There are seven dream weavers under her, and each of them is marked by a certain disability in their body - the one who is missing his left eye, the one who is missing his little finger, the one who is missing his hearing - these are the prices they paid when weaving dreams for someone.
The rules are simple.
If you want anyone to see your past, come to the mirage and offer a part of your body. The Dream Weaver will take your memory, weave it into a dream, and implant it into that person's sleep. The person in the dream will feel like he is there and see all your unspoken joys and pains.
But the price is yours to bear.
But then, the mirage suddenly disappeared.
Overnight, not even a tile was left.
Some people say that the Weaver has given too much to himself, and in the end even himself has been forgotten. Some people say that the seven Dream Weavers defected collectively, taking the memories of countless people away with them. Some people say that the mirage has never existed, it is just a big dream woven by the demons in the world's hearts.
Very nice, very novel subject matter
