Special 92: Reborn

I enlisted in December 1991.

Back then, I had no idea what “special operations” meant. I only knew I had to train until my body was like iron. Who could have imagined that stepping through the gates of the Southern Sword camp would leave a mark on me for life?

This is a story about “Special Operations 92.” No System, no golden finger, just a group of Chinese soldiers roaring through the mud and rising again from desperate situations. Even after taking off their uniforms, deep down they are still the recruits they were in 1992.

[Note] This story is based on real experiences. Some events have been adapted for dramatic effect. If you spot any professional inaccuracies, please point them out in the comments, old squad leaders. Let’s talk about the spirit of it, not argue over who’s right.

This story is dedicated to those glorious days that can never return!
