The CEO Falls Asleep as Soon as Filming Begins

Lin Zhen takes her sister’s place on set to shoot a short drama.

Her task is simple: finish filming eighty episodes in seven days and earn 500,000 yuan to clear her sister’s debt.

As soon as the cameras start rolling, she becomes “her sister.”

Her lines must be precise, her emotions on point, even her breathing has to fit the character.

Until one day,

the short drama’s investor, Xie Xun, falls asleep right there on set.

Everyone assumes he’s unhappy with her performance.

Only Lin Zhen realizes he isn’t unhappy.

The moment she speaks, he falls asleep.

After that, everything starts spiraling out of control.

She’s told to stay, keep filming, keep acting.

He insists that only her shots be used.

He didn’t invest in this drama to make a hit.

He did it so he could hear her speak.

And she gradually discovers

that this short drama was never made for an audience.

It was prepared for him alone.

Later,

someone asks Xie Xun:

“She’s just a stand-in. Why must it be her?”

Xie Xun watches the monitor and says nothing.

Not until Lin Zhen delivers a line on camera.

He closes his eyes and finally falls asleep.

“Because only her voice can keep me alive!”
