Reforming Korea and Driving Out the Japanese: I Am Seo Jae-juk of Korea

In 1896, Korea was on the brink of destruction! Japanese boots trampled across its three thousand li of territory. The queen was brutally murdered, the king was held captive, and the people were reduced to slaves in a conquered nation!

Carrying the weight of a sea of blood and vengeance, Seo Jae-pil traveled to the United States to study at West Point. There, he witnessed the 26-year-old genius Braun transform America through sheer ability, surpassing Britain in a single year to become the world's leading power!

He knew he was no match for West Point's prodigy Haver, much less Braun, but his heart burned with a love for America and a determination to resist Japan. Along with Yun Chi-ho, Seo Gwang-beom, and Rhee Syngman, he returned home, vowing to use second-rate American equipment to train a powerful army, drive out the Japanese, and restore his country!

A pro-Japanese regime ran rampant, and the Japanese grew ever more brazen. But in the nation's darkest hour, a stunning reversal came with the flight to the Russian legation. King Gojong took refuge there, and the pro-Japanese traitors fell from power in an instant!

At last, the four men were granted an audience with the king. With tears of blood, they pleaded for permission to buy weapons and strengthen the army. No matter how perilous the road ahead, they would overcome the odds, repay blood with blood, and drive the Japanese completely out of Korea using American military strategy!

With the nation on the verge of ruin and a genius to show the way, watch as a young man returning from study in America shoulders the nation's desperate plight with his own flesh and blood, and writes a heroic saga of resistance and national salvation!
