[Cyberpunk] [Absurd Reality] [New Gods’ Colonization] [Dreaming Your Way to Godhood] [Sequence Progression]
How crazy is the Cyber age in 2046?
Just twenty years of AI abuse gave rise to true technological gods.
Human civilization was secretly accelerated by a hundred thousand years.
History was rewritten, and the Mandela Effect swept the globe.
Yet Blue Star’s one hundred billion people still feel as if the old world was only yesterday.
This is a dazzling new age that feels fake.
Ordinary people chew nutrition paste, eat synthetic meat, and drink polluted water, while biometric bracelets and the Sky-Eye System monitor them around the clock.
Without enough credit, you’re restricted at every turn: work, having children, medical care, even travel.
With a life expectancy of barely forty years, your body, organs, and memories will all be reclaimed sooner or later.
What about becoming superhuman?
Mechanical ascension, genetic evolution, godhood through worship, cultivation by paying to win.
It all looks great.
But in essence, you’re just upgrading from cheap consumables to premium ones.
Lin Che was just a student from the bottom rung of Haitu, about to be reclaimed.
That is, until he awakened the one and only sequence: [Dreamweaver].
Other people level up through corporate handouts, tycoons’ money, or kneeling to gods for power.
He levels up by dreaming.
The Sea of Dreams conceals altered history and the remnants of old gods. It also hides the truth the new gods least want anyone to see.
By day, Lin Che fights to survive in Shadow Harbor’s black market, caught between gangs, conglomerates, and law enforcers.
By night, he walks through the dreams of countless people, searching souls, hunting nightmares, and claiming fragments. Following one deranged dream after another, he slowly digs out the root of the world’s sickness.
This novel leans dark and absurd.
The setting is very novel, different from many cyberpunk articles, and well written👍
