Escaping the Rat Race: Feeding Ancient Bigwigs in the Countryside

[Healing + cultural clashes + rags to riches + warm and funny + hard-hitting face-slapping reversals]

After quitting the boss who loved making empty promises, Su Jianyue returned to the countryside and took over the run-down inn her grandfather had left her.

She thought she was in for a life of hardship, but the bronze gate in the backyard led straight to ancient times, and suddenly the good times began! The world's greatest assassin is starving and on the verge of death? One bowl of pickled cabbage instant noodles leaves him amazed, and the inn gains a new security guard and chef. The local thugs don't dare go anywhere near its front gate again. A princess from a fallen kingdom is suffering through her period? A pack of modern sanitary pads restores her dignity, and she becomes the inn's most capable manager, raising its prestige through the roof.

Su Jianyue uses modern food, clothing, and daily necessities to outclass the big shots of ancient times, while they use lost techniques to outclass the modern-day troublemakers. Her former boss shows up with people to wreck the place? Before they can even get inside, flying soybeans shatter their kneecaps. Su Jianyue can't help thinking: These ancient employees are so easy to manage!
