Qi, On Your Head: Book 987

After three years of marriage, Lin Banxia had worked like a beast in the countryside, served her vicious mother-in-law, and sent money to her husband, who was studying at a technical secondary school in the city. In return, she got a “marriage in name only” in which he hadn’t even touched her hand.

Then one day, she went to the city to deliver him his autumn clothes and caught him rolling around with the factory director’s daughter on a wooden bed at a guesthouse!

She didn’t cry or make a scene. She swiped the scumbag’s pants and wallet, then went back to the village and flipped the table at her in-laws’ home. “I’m done with this marriage where I’m a wife in name only! Pay me back, and give me a divorce!”

The whole village laughed, sure that after her divorce she’d have to beg for food. Even her vicious mother-in-law waited to see her make a fool of herself.

But then Huo Zheng, the rough, surly village bully whom everyone avoided, cornered her in the dark. His voice was hoarse and burning with passion. “Banxia, now that you’ve left him, come with me. I’ll give you my life and every last cent I have.”

Later, Lin Banxia used her excellent cooking and sewing skills to start a business and build a mansion, becoming a ten-thousand-yuan household.

The cheating scumbag lost even his job and knelt in the rain, begging her to take him back.

Huo Zheng’s face turned cold. He swept his beloved wife into his arms with one arm and kicked the scumbag into a muddy ditch. “Are you blind, you mutt? Call her Sister-in-law!”
