Six years ago, Meng Wanqing, the head teacher of the junior high school, said to Chen Xiaoyou's mother in front of all the parents of the class, "Like mother, like daughter." Less than a month later, her mother committed suicide by jumping off the building in front of Chen Xiaoyou.
Six years later, Meng Wanqing was injected with highly toxic drugs and died in the hospital. The murder weapon was a syringe that had been destroyed long ago, and only a blurry figure in a hospital gown remained on the surveillance camera.
When Detective Chief Lin Nianhe took over the case, he discovered that the biggest suspect was Chen Xiaoyou, who lived in the ward next to the deceased. She was hospitalized due to severe depression and had no memory of her actions, but her sketchbook was filled with portraits of Meng Wanqing.
She couldn't remember whether she had killed anyone. She wasn't even sure what she wanted the answer to be.
As the investigation deepened, Lin Nianhe discovered that the real murderer was not Chen Xiaoyou, but her sister Zhou Xiaoman, who had waited for six years to take revenge for her. But the focus of the story is never "who is the murderer"—it's what happens to those destroyed by verbal violence. Some people sank to the bottom of the water, some learned to catch themselves, and some stretched out their hands in the darkness and touched the first ray of light on the water.

If this book can be published, I think I will definitely buy it and take it home. Thank you for writing such a delicate and powerful book. The word "come ashore" has been given too much meaning in the current society, and it has been abused to the point of being tacky. But this is the best blessing I can think of now. I wish you and all the people who are trapped underwater or struggling, come ashore soon, be healthy and safe.
