Qingxi Town has Yinshan Mountain at its back and cold water in front of it. The thousand-year-old mass graves in Heifengling are filled with resentment, and the Yinshui River is cold and eroding bones. On cloudy and rainy nights, ghosts seek their lives, zombies are born, and feng shui evils occur frequently, making the people panic and have no peace.
Lin Jiu, the orthodox descendant of Maoshan, known as Uncle Jiu, has profound Taoism and is proficient in talismans, incantations, Qimen Feng Shui, exorcism, corpse suppression, and salvation of dead souls. Together with his adopted daughter Lin Xiaoyue and three disciples with very different personalities, they opened the Maoshan Taoist Gym in the town, guarding the yin and yang with the Maoshan Zhengfa.
The eldest disciple is calm and reliable, and is familiar with magic weapons and talismans; the second disciple is brave and strong, specializing in suppressing evil spirits at close quarters; the third disciple is clever and strategic, and is familiar with Feng Shui mechanisms; the daughter Lin Xiaoyue is born with wisdom and has a pure Yang destiny. Although she has not formally practiced Taoism, she can discern the evil spirits. The five masters, father and daughter, guard a small gym, receive help from the people, enter the village, explore haunted houses, break evil traps, fight ghosts, suppress zombies, and deal with all kinds of evil and strange things.
From the ferocious furry corpse that transforms into a corpse in the middle of the night, to the resentful red-clothed ghost; from the unrest in the house caused by the feng shui of the haunted house, to the thousand-year-old evil spirits hidden in the evil caves of ancient tombs; from the strange things in the mountain village to the fright in the city, one after another horrific and bizarre supernatural events broke out one after another, and the most dangerous ghost hunting and exorcism journeys began.
Uncle Jiu used Maoshan's secret skills to slay demons and eliminate demons, and protected the common people with righteous thoughts. He stood with a sword in the ghostly wind and ghost fire, and protected the villagers amidst the howling corpses and ghosts. He wrote a terrifying legend of a Maoshan ghost hunter who hung a pot to save the world, calm evil spirits and repose souls.
