In Year 27 of Konoha, Madara Uchiha implants the Rinnegan in Nagato, entrusts his plans to Black Zetsu, and falls into a deep sleep. Black Zetsu then begins carrying out his own plan. Using the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path and the genes of Kaguya Otsutsuki's descendants, he intends to bring Kaguya back. But fate takes an unexpected turn: the Sage of Six Paths notices him and makes a deal with Blue Star's Heavenly Dao, sending the soul of a dying person to transmigrate into the Shinobi World.
