Deep inside the Arctic Circle, at a military research facility, a low-level Resonant soldier who can read other people’s emotions accidentally triggers an ancient superpowered field sealed beneath the base, one capable of tearing apart the dimensions of reality. The AI system Ark, which controls the facility, classifies the resulting loss of control as the highest-level threat and activates a purge protocol targeting all low-level ability users.
