In a military research base deep in the Arctic Circle, a low-level resonater soldier who can read the emotions of others accidentally triggered the ancient super energy field sealed at the bottom of the base that was enough to tear apart the latitude of reality. The AI system Ark that controls the base determined that this loss of control was the highest level threat and initiated a cleansing protocol for all low-level ability users.
