"Qingyun Lu of a Poor Family" is an epic historical novel set in the Wei and Jin Dynasties. It tells the story of Lu Yunshen, a scholar from a poor family, who relied on his talent, courage and strategy to grow from an orphan in Taiyuan to a famous general in the Northern Expedition, and ultimately promoted social change under the nine-level Zhongzheng system monopolized by powerful families. The story begins in the Yongjia period of the Western Jin Dynasty. Lu Yunshen, a poor man from Taiyuan, died unjustly because his father was framed by a powerful family, and his family fell into ruin. Carrying his father's posthumous scroll "Mao's Poems" and a paper knife, he went to Luoyang to study alone. He suffered humiliation in the prestigious school, but he formed a "blood-oathed seven sons" alliance with Han Jizi, Gu Wenruo and other poor disciples.
