Shen Zhao returns to Haicheng to uncover the truth behind her father's old case, only to find that Zhou Xubai, the man she loved most, is at the center of the entire web of interests.
To dig up the truth, she has to get close to him;
but the closer she gets, the less she can tell
is he the person she wants revenge on,
or the only one secretly protecting her?
Zhou Xubai, too, must face a cruel choice:
to keep her safe, he may have to push her away with his own hands once again;
to stand by her side, he must first destroy his own family with his own hands.
