The Sun Family's Taciturn One Has Become Silver-Tongued

This is not a feel-good story about getting revenge on scumbags, and there is no golden finger. It portrays rural life with a touch of realism, focusing on family conflicts and the emotional deprivation of a generation, as well as their bitter struggle to change their lives.

The honest Sun Hongyu has a long dream. In it, she gets married and becomes nothing but a tool for her husband's family to produce a son. After giving birth to a daughter, she keeps getting pregnant and miscarrying until her body is ruined. Then she is forced to divorce, and even her own family is no source of support. Her mother, who has always favored boys over girls, blames her for being useless, too.

When the tongue-tied Sun Hongyu wakes from her dream, she begins to change, little by little.

"Mom, am I really your daughter?"

"I work every day, but you never think to give me anything to eat, and I never get new clothes..."

"You little brat! You used to be a quiet little thing no one liked, and now you're sharp-tongued and annoying!"

Wu Qiao said angrily.

"Hongyu, I never knew we were actually related..."

Sun Hongyu sells ice pops to earn money, and meets Xie Jicheng.

As the two grow closer and get to know each other, Xie Jicheng feels increasingly sorry for her and protective of her.

Because of her dream, Sun Hongyu is afraid to fall for anyone too easily.

Xie Jicheng is patient and keeps waiting for her.

Life is hard as it is. How lucky it is to meet the right person, hold hands through life, and grow old together!
