A man who seems cold and aloof but is secretly flirtatious, the competitive, possessive male lead type.
Tan Tan has just transferred to No. 1 High School when she falls in love at first sight with its top student, Ke Xun.
Unfortunately, she gets the names mixed up and mistakes Ke Xun’s archenemy, Li Wu, for her crush. Full of righteous indignation, she rushes to Li Wu’s defense.
And Ke Xun catches her in the act.
When Tan Tan finally figures out the truth, she completely falls apart.
It’s over.
She actually defended her crush’s archenemy…
Convinced her love is unrequited, Tan Tan decides to shut herself away for good.
But Ke Xun starts acting completely out of character, constantly showing up by her side.
That’s when Tan Tan realizes that this supposedly aloof, ascetic top student is nothing of the sort.
After all, what kind of cold, aloof person would say, “I’m better than Li Wu at everything: grades, basketball, looks, even my body. Want to feel for yourself?”
A little scene:
At their graduation party, Ke Xun hasn’t had a drop to drink, but he deliberately spills alcohol on his clothes and pretends to be drunk, pressing Tan Tan for an answer:
“Tan Tan… between me, Li Wu, and that damned stepbrother of yours, Xie Yun, who’s the most handsome?”
The girl can’t support his weight, and they both topple onto the sofa.
Her face turns bright red. The boy presses her with a wounded look, and at last she admits, “You’re the most handsome, Ke Xun. You’re the best-looking.”
They fall for each other at first sight, and the feeling is mutual, but Ke Xun’s eyes had settled on her first.
She was the light of his childhood; he was the sweetheart of her youth.
