I'm a Qing Dynasty Tycoon

Shen Yi, an elite investment banker, opens his eyes to find he has become Yin Qi, the Kangxi Emperor's fifth son! Faced with the bloody struggle among the nine princes for the throne, he grins. “Fight for the throne? What a headache! Wouldn't it be better to become a financial magnate in the Qing Dynasty?”

With The Maritime Power Strategy in one hand, he opens ports and promotes trade. With the Great Qing Huitong Bank in the other, he turns finance into a game. His rouge shop uses limited-edition collaborations as a marketing strategy, his logistics network covers the Eight Banners garrisons, and he even issues war bonds to help the court fill its coffers. Yin Qi's business empire leaves the entire court dumbfounded. The Crown Prince demands a bribe? Yin Qi turns around and walks off with his private fortune. The Eighth Prince's faction wants a share? He sets a trap and leaves them broke!

When Kangxi, trembling on his sickbed, hands him the edict naming his successor, Yin Qi instead pulls out a list of the emperor's occupational ailments. “Headaches, insomnia, a harem full of wives and concubines, memorials to review every day... Want this kind of blessing?” He strongly recommends his fourth brother, Yin Zhen, for the throne, then turns over his trillion-tael fortune and quietly slips out of the limelight.

From then on, the Forbidden City has a “Prince Yi of the First Rank,” and Yongzheng keeps his ledgers in his study. The history books, however, record only this: “Yin Qi was the God of Wealth of the Great Qing. Yet his heart belonged to the mountains and seas, not the imperial court.”
