Transmigrating to Ancient Times with My Nemesis to Dig Wild Vegetables

[Two male leads, farming and rural life] [Older, airheaded beauty and spoiled, fussy shou x younger, clingy, traditional patriarch gong] Song Jinxun and Shen Huaixu were childhood friends who always seemed to be on opposite sides. Whenever they met, they fought like cats and dogs. An accident during a traffic-jam race sent them both transmigrating to ancient times. Song Jinxun was the famously ugly ger who had reached nineteen without getting married. The only people who came to propose were fools and widowers. Shen Huaixu was a cursed, sickly scholar whose parents had died young. He was too weak to lift anything or do hard labor. He began studying at eight, but after ten years of schooling, he still hadn't even passed the lowest level of the imperial exams. By the time they transmigrated, they were already married. They lay on a hard, creaking plank bed, staring at each other. Two seconds later, they tacitly launched into a full-on brawl, and even their only bed collapsed. The young masters had never even lit a fire before, and nearly burned down the kitchen. They cooked a pot of scorched porridge that was bitter and scratched their throats. With no money to their names, they could only go up the mountain to dig for wild vegetables. Unfortunately, they got up so late they couldn't find a single one. They gathered a whole basket of pretty, colorful mushrooms, only to discover they were all poisonous. After digging for wild vegetables and eating tree-bark gruel day after day, the two poor young masters no longer had any interest in fighting. Song Jinxun: “What? I'm an ugly ger?!” Shen Huaixu: “Don't be mad. They're the ones who are blind.” To give his husband a better life, Shen Huaixu gritted his teeth and kept studying for the imperial exams. Shen Huaixu: My husband is so adorable. What if everyone tries to steal him? I'm the only one who's officially his husband. He likes me. He loves me! Song Jinxun, at first: I'm straight! Later: Why does my bro smell so good? Farming, imperial exams, infrastructure building
