The story takes place in the world of immortality where cause and effect are intertwined. The protagonist Yin Ming, a mortal who became a "life-shortening prophet" due to a blood curse, accidentally obtained half of the fragments of "The True Solution to the Yin Talisman" when his life span was about to expire at the age of thirty-six. In order to seek a chance for survival, he embarked on a strange path of immortality that uses lifespan as fuel. In the process of practicing "drawing talismans to attract ghosts", he met the blind Taoist Su Yan who guards the "Yin Yang Tai Chi Diagram", and the girl Li Zhu who was selected by the "Immortal Suzaku". Together, they face the pursuit of the "remnant soul of the ancient power" who appeared in advance due to Yin Ming's prophecy, and are gradually involved in a life-and-death confrontation with the "Judge" who upholds the iron law of reincarnation. Yin Ming used his prophecy ability to see the context of cause and effect, and used the technique of Yin Talisman to control the underworld.
