Red Sun Over the Forest

A 35-year-old senior sergeant first class in a Northern Theater Command special operations brigade, he died protecting his comrades during a counterterrorism mission at the border. He was reborn in 1977 at Kaoshantun, at the foot of the Greater Khingan Mountains in Northeast China, in the body of a 22-year-old idler with the same name. His only advantages are a special forces soldier's wilderness survival, hand-to-hand combat, marksmanship, terrain assessment, and organizational skills, along with a modern outlook. He has no golden finger.
