Based on official histories such as "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and abandoning the fictional plot of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", it wonderfully tells the entire process of the Shu-Han Empire from its establishment to its demise. The whole book is divided into five volumes. The first volume is "Foundation", which covers the period from the autumn of 207 AD (three visits to the thatched cottage) to the winter of 208 AD (after the Battle of Chibi); the second volume is "Dingli", which is from 209 AD to 219 AD (after the Battle of Chibi to the end of the Battle of Hanzhong); the third volume is "Confusion", which is from 21 AD 9 years (Guan Yu's Northern Expedition) to 222 years (the end of the Battle of Yiling); the fourth volume "Ideal", 223 AD (Baidicheng Tuogu) to 234 AD (Zhuge Liang died of illness); the fifth volume "Collapse", 234 AD (Zhuge Liang died of illness) to 263 AD (the demise of the Shu Han).
