Fang Bai is a low-ranking fugitive from the Blood Alliance, an assassins’ organization. Desperate to stay alive, he begs powerful figures in the legitimate world for help, but no one comes to his aid. In despair, he finally understands: better to rely on a blade than on anyone else. When the assassin takes off his mask, Fang Bai stops running and carves a path through the blood with the dagger in his hand. In a city of millions, only his blade stays by his side.
