Chu Tian, a food delivery guy in Flushing, single-handedly took the New York exorcism scene's rat race to a whole new level.
How other people exorcise demons:
A priest, clad in holy vestments and clutching a cross, cries, “In the name of God, I command you to get out!”
Demon (laughing maniacally): “Your God can't save you!”
The priest dies.
How Chu Tian exorcises demons:
He takes off his delivery uniform, sets out roast chicken and baijiu, and cries, “I invite Grandpa Huang to take the stage!”
Demon (terrified): “A deity from the East?!”
Chu Tian (possessed by the Weasel Immortal, slapping the demon across the face): “A deity? No, I'm your Grandpa Huang!”
The demon runs back to hell in tears.
From then on, everything changed.
The Vatican priests are dumbfounded: “Fifty years of theology and ascetic practice, and it's still not as effective as one slap? If I'd known, I'd have gone East to learn martial arts!”
The FBI's Paranormal Investigations Unit is baffled: “The evil spirits we couldn't track even with high-tech equipment were driven away by his comic folk singing?”
The Lord of Hell is furious: “Can someone tell me why all the elite troops I sent to New York have been won over by a delivery guy? And why the hell have they learned to sit cross-legged and chat?!”
Chu Tian (sneering): “It's nothing. I just did a little cultural outreach from the East.”
