Gu Xiao's soul traveled through time and came to the United States in the era known as the "Robber Baron" at the end of the 19th century. At that time, the gold rush in North America was over, anti-Chinese sentiment was running high, and Chinese workers were regarded as third-class citizens, worse than pigs and dogs. San Francisco's Chinatown is a mixed bag of good and bad, with decadent tongs oppressing fellow citizens, and white gangsters eyeing the outside world.
On the first day after disembarking, Gu Xiao, who was holding a cigar in his mouth and carrying a Winchester lever rifle on his shoulder, smashed the dock supervisor's back with violence. Faced with the joint oppression and so-called "jianghu rules" of old gangs in Chinatown such as "Datong Restaurant" and "Liyuan Restaurant", Gu Xiao not only refused to pay the protection fee, but also wiped them out.
At the Hongmen Banquet at Liyuan Restaurant, facing the heads of the six major companies who tried to appease him with sumptuous banquets (even top-grade Kobe beef) and so-called "traditional favors", Gu Xiao stood up, adjusted his exquisite leather jacket in front of everyone's horrified eyes, pointed his gun directly at the big boss, and blew out a puff of cigar with a smile:
"I don't eat beef."
