Genshin Impact: Awarding a Medal to the Unadorned Flower

In Mondstadt, the land of wind and freedom, Grand Master Varka of the Knights of Favonius returns from his expedition and meets Noelle, a girl whose dream of becoming a knight has been thwarted time and again. Taking on the role of an “unorthodox mentor,” he uses Dandelion Wine, a shuttlecock match, and even an Abyss crisis as lessons, guiding her to understand that “the true essence of a knight isn’t perfection: you must love yourself as well as others.” From the vow at Windrise to an acrostic poem at the Windblume Festival, from sweat on the training grounds to standing side by side in battle, the two grow together through laughter and tears. Her steadfastness, like stone, supports his old wounds and past, while his freedom, like the wind, gives her the courage to soar. This is a romantic journey about an “unmedaled flower” finally being crowned, and a poem of guardianship written beneath Mondstadt’s skies.
