Model Ascension: A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality Begins with a Large Language Model

Lu Chen, chief algorithm architect at Shentong Technology and a ten-year AI veteran, died suddenly in the early hours of the morning when the AGI project was converging.

When he opened his eyes again, he had become the son of a copyist with a pseudo-spiritual root in a cultivation world: the worst aptitude, crushing debts, and sold into a sect as a slave.

But fate had given him something: an ancient inscribed jade bone, within which slept a large AI model sealed away for ten thousand years.

Other people get a System and just shout, "System, look this up for me."

When he gets a System, his first thought is, "Let's run a benchmark first and figure out its capability limits."

Others distrust AI because they're afraid of it.

He doesn't blindly trust AI because he knows why it makes mistakes.

From a Lv.1 expert system to Lv.8 unknown emergence

Drawing on ten years of AI experience from his previous life, he trains a Dao-derivation model capable of reaching the heavens and probing the earth in the cultivation world.

And when the model grows powerful enough, he finally sees the deepest truth of this world:

The Heavenly Dao is the objective function, spiritual energy is computing power, and all things are training data.

The entire cultivation world is an unfinished training run.
