Changmen Mountain

There is no protagonist aura, no superpowers, and no mutant zombies. There is only a true story of a 36-year-old freight driver and his family surviving in the apocalypse. --- Wen Yanzhang, a freight driver in Changsha, dropped out of high school and has been running long distances for twelve years. His greatest ability is to recognize every national highway, rural road, and mountain road in Hunan Province. With his eyes closed, he can tell which section of the road has a traffic jam and which section of the road has a dangerous spot. His biggest limitation is that he has strained his waist and shoulders due to driving all the time, his physical fitness is average, and his hands shake when he sees zombies. On the way back home during the Spring Festival, a rabies virus that mutated through nuclear-contaminated wastewater broke out. Highways are blocked, signals are interrupted, and order collapses. Wen Yanzhang did not look back to save anyone. He just drove a truck and rushed into the mountains of Changmen County, Huaihua, with a few people who happened to be around him. There was his parents' old house and an abandoned breeding farm. He ran from Changsha to Changmen, three hundred kilometers, for seven days. I didn't get out of the car or kill a single zombie during the whole journey. I just relied on detours and evasions to bring a group of people into the mountains alive. This is not a story about killing zombies and leveling up. This is a story about an ordinary person using the experience of a truck driver to identify the road, using the skills of a nurse to prevent epidemics, using the knowledge of agricultural students to farm, using the skills of a warehouse manager to strengthen the stronghold, and building a survival system bit by bit in the apocalypse.
