When writing this story, I kept thinking about a question: How can a person stand up again when she is regarded as an outcast by the whole world?
Shen Fuyu's answer is: Don't care about others, don't care about fate, only care about every penny, every person, and every inch of road in your hand. It took her seventeen chapters to reach the north, and another ten years to live her life.
The extras are my favorite part. Shen Huaian's belated "Fuyu", Shen Mingzhao's realization of "people who are good to you" at the stove - they are not bad people, they just chose silence in the whole world of cannibalism. And Shen Fuyu broke the silence for them.
