In 2045, a crimson rift suddenly appeared across the sky above Earth. Future generations would call it the Great Rift.
Every electronic device on the planet went black at the same time for three minutes. Then a cold, grand message appeared on every screen:
“Welcome to the Divine Trials.”
“Earth’s civilization has entered an evolutionary assessment. Three hundred warriors will be randomly selected from each nation and sent into a supernatural jungle world for a thousand-day survival trial.”
“The results will directly affect each nation’s destiny: the higher its survival score, the stronger the spiritual qi revival it receives. If its entire force is wiped out… that nation will be erased from the map of Earth.”
There was no room for negotiation.
