Chen Xi transmigrated.
No golden finger, no System, just a lousy chat group.
There are seven people in the group: a monk who’s always talking about returning to lay life, a painfully shy doctor, a painfully shy little girl, a woman as narcissistic as he is, and two mysterious members who are always lurking.
Chen Xi isn’t happy about it, but it doesn’t matter if the group members are unreliable, as long as he can rely on himself.
One morning, he’d just ordered a bowl of noodles and hadn’t even picked up his chopsticks when someone shoved him to the ground.
“Chen Xi, right? You’re suspected of illegally possessing contraband. You’re coming with us.”
As they hauled him up, Chen Xi had only one thought: My noodles!
Once in jail, he received a list of his alleged crimes.
It was packed with 107 charges:
Illegally possessing weapons, colluding with demons, treason...
And one more:
“Raping a sow, causing her to give birth to eight black piglets.”
Chen Xi: ???
He opened the chat group for help and sent a message:
[The Handsome Guy from Another World]: Urgent, I’ve been framed and thrown in jail. Can anyone
[Whoever Becomes a Monk Is an Idiot]: Can’t get you out. I’m still on the road. But if you starve to death, remember to visit me in a dream. I’ll chant a passage from the Rebirth Mantra for you.
[Give Me a McFlurry]: ??? What did you do?
[Everyone Here Is Trash]: (image: an old man on the subway staring at his phone)
The group fell silent for three seconds.
Then the messages started flooding in.
Every single one was “Hahahahahaha.”
Chen Xi put down his phone and sank into thought:
What’s the point of this group, anyway?
