I always see modern people transmigrating to the Ming Dynasty, so I wanted to write about people coming from the Ming Dynasty to the modern world. A group of Ming Dynasty anti-pirate guards, hunted in the dynasty's final years, discover relics left behind by Xu Fu's voyage east and travel to a world six hundred years in the future. There, they continue to fight the organization hunting them and defend the glory of the empire. From a chaotic age of war to an era of peace and prosperity, this is where they belong.
