Meng Xiang is a young standout in the technical investigation department, the orphan of a martyr, and a girl who grew up on a police compound. When her best friend Ling Yun asks her to apply for the SWAT team, everyone thinks this quiet, gentle girl won't last through training camp, until she silences every doubter with her performance on the training ground.
With extraordinary stamina, sharp shooting skills, and adaptable tactics, Meng Xiang is like a phoenix quietly biding her time. Once she spreads her wings, she dazzles everyone.
The one thing that gives her instructors a headache is her mouth. She's always cracking pun after pun, and the team's communications channel nearly turns into a full-on comedy show because of her.
Shen Hongfei, a former member of the Wolf Fang special forces, became a traffic officer after retiring. On his first day at work, he watched helplessly as his mentor was seriously wounded by criminals. Unable to accept his own powerlessness, he applied to join the SWAT team. Thanks to the formidable skills he'd honed in the special forces, he quickly became one of the most notable trainees at camp.
The training camp is full of strong contenders: criminal investigation standout Zheng Zhi, armed police sniper Zhao Xiaohei, transferred officer Duan Weibing, chemistry PhD He Miao... Every one of them is determined to prove themselves. Shen Hongfei and Meng Xiang's first face-off takes place on the combat training ground.
He means to use his strength to make this sharp-tongued female teammate respect him, only to get thrown hard onto the ground.
From clashing head-on to mutual respect, from competing on the training ground to standing together through life and death in the field. When the K2 terrorist organization strikes and their teammates are trapped in desperate danger, she, code-named “Phoenix,” will rise from the ashes.
This is a story about growth, protection, and passion. She isn't some “team darling” defined by others. She's a phoenix who earns everyone's respect through her own strength.
It's so beautiful, so exciting.
