The Five Dynasties: Conquering the Sixteen Prefectures of Yanyun

Early September, first year of Qianyou under the Later Han (October 948), Hezhong City

Li Xuance, a top student in the history department at Peking University, had only gone to sleep. When he woke up, he was in a military camp.

The good news: he had become Murong Yanzhao, sworn brother to Zhao Kuangyin!

The bad news: Li Chongjin, Guo Wei's nephew, was going to come after him.

The even worse news: it was the first year of Qianyou, more than two years before Guo Wei became emperor and founded the Later Zhou, and over a decade before the Chenqiao Mutiny!

But how could that not be good news, too?

If Zhao Kuangyin could become emperor, then I, Murong Yanzhao, could do it too!

But who could have guessed that after Guo Rong abdicated, I would become emperor of the Great Zhou!

Rally the troops and ride straight for the Khitans. Reclaim the Sixteen Prefectures of Yanyun!!
