Fresh graduate Zhou Wei accidentally binds to an all-purpose upgrade System from a highly advanced civilization while camping by a stream with his close friends Qin Yun and Bai Xi. It’s a mysterious terminal whose primary purpose is entertainment, with upgrading as an additional feature.
With the System, Zhou Wei can upgrade items, attributes, and skills to make up for his weaknesses.
They refuse to join any faction. Along the way, they meet Lin Wei, a surgeon; Zhao Feng, a soldier; and Su Xiao, a programmer, and form a small survival group, supporting one another through desperate circumstances.
From an abandoned villa on the outskirts of the city to an underground hive base, they face everything from the first zombies and scattered looters to nuclear winter, high-level mutant zombies, and radiation crises, always sticking to the principle of keeping a low profile and staying alive.
As they build up energy points and upgrade their base, Zhou Wei leads the group through the apocalypse, using his cool head and the System’s advantages to carve out a path to survival while fending off the ambitions of ruthless villains and the virus’s ongoing mutations.
